testimony.

Today was testimony meeting.

There were some wonderful testimonies given. Several of the youth gave emotional testimonies that were very honest and touching.

My mom bore a testimony that really struck me. She said something that I’ve been thinking about since… She mentioned something about how living here in VA was a great trial for me.

I wanted to get up and comment — but I would’ve been a little too emotional, so I opted out.

Here’s what I wish I had gotten up and said…

Ok, I’ve gotta correct something mom said. She mentioned that living here has been a trial for me. I believe living here has been one of the greatest blessings Heavenly Father has ever given me. I was in a spiritual rut when I came out here and being surrounded by each of you has been exactly what I needed. It had been years since I had a calling during my time in Utah. I was given the opportunity to serve out here and I’m in a better place spiritually because of it. Thank-you. I love the Gospel so much. I know that we are part of the church of Jesus Christ. I make mistakes constantly and I don’t always live His gospel the way it’s supposed to be done — but it’s true. He loves us because we are His children. He will open and close doors as we need them. We just have to trust Him…

I wish I had gotten up. Too late now though…

Since my move last November I have wanted to get back to Utah as soon as possible.

Now?

I love it here. I love the feeling I have here….
