a voice.

I am just like every other returned missionary.
My Mission President is like a second father.

It is the kind of relationship that can only be forged in the fire of trials, heartbreak, successes and joy!

On a mission you learn to go to him for counsel as you would your own father.

I have not seen my Mission President in awhile. He’s now an area authority and his schedule has become more demanding as of late.

But it doesn’t matter. I could go years without seeing him and if the opportunity arose I would still seek counsel from him.

I found out last weekend that he put out a talk cd through Deseret Book recently titled; “Trusting the Savior in a World that Doesn’t“.

His name is Christopher Munday.

The talk is amazing. Obviously.
His voice is a warm mixture of English (UK) and a light southern that comes form his time in Florida. It is a voice that brings peace to my soul EVERY time I hear it.

I have listened to the talk several times this past week and each time I heard his voice I felt peaceful.

It is amazing that just his voice could put me at ease.
I would follow that voice.
I would follow the counsel given because I know he loves me and I know he would only offer counsel he knew came from Heavenly Father.

“And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.” (John 10:4)

I wonder what it would be like if I could hear the voice of the Savior.

I would follow whatever counsel or command He gave. Wouldn’t you?

We hear the voice of His mouthpieces. We are surrounded by His representatives.
And I don’t always listen.

Man. I need to do better.

? What voices bring peace and comfort to your life?

If you enjoy listening to talk cd’s then I highly recommend this one!
