strangers are family too.

22 02 2011

I began reading the five people you meet in heaven tonight. Mitch Albom is a fantastic author. Tuesday’s with Morrie was filled with a wide range of great life advice and this book has already provided some wonderful insights.

The book details the journey of Eddie after he dies. The first person he meets is someone he could barely call an acquaintance while in life.

This line struck me…
“Strangers are just family you have yet to come to know.”

Have you ever met someone and just felt you knew them from some previous life?
You probably did.
We are all family.

“And I, the Lord God, had created all the children of men; and not yet a man to till the ground; for in heaven created I them…” (Moses 3:5)

It’s one of the most basic doctrines we are taught in the Church – but how often do you think about it as you are going about your day?
That doesn’t happen very often in my daily life.

Reading that quote tonight was a great reminder of how connected we all really are. Hopefully I can remember that the next time somebody cuts me off while driving!

? Have you read the five people you meet in heaven?
