My new very employed life has me trying to figure out how to fit everything in each week.

Mom called today to share a quote, well it’s more of a question really;

What inhabits your life that inhibits your dreams?

I didn’t even stop to think and my first answer was; reality.

Reality = Life.
Bills to pay. Savings to earn.

The ideal situation is that you support yourself/family by fulfilling your dreams.

I can definitely see the merit in asking yourself this question. If you are spending 6 hours a day playing video games but dream of someday being an architect then you need to reevaluate how badly you want to be an architect.

As I started to complain about “life” getting in the way of my dreams – she said that it’s a matter of ‘good, better, best’.

Mom has a way of saying things sometimes that I do NOT want to hear but secretly know that I NEED to hear.

UGH. Thanks Mom.

Elder Oaks gave the talk “Good, Better, Best” in General Conference October 2007.

“And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:41-42)

? What inhabits your life that inhibits your dreams?
